Birth Doula, Placenta Specialist, Birth Photographer

After more than two decades of experience in the Child Development field, I became a Birth Doula so that I can help other military wives who are giving birth while their husbands are deployed. I happily serve civilian families as well, but my passion is helping these military wives who often have very little support during labor, because the military has moved them far from family and whatever support network they had in their hometown. This is why I offer such a great military discount!

While I do support home births and Birth Center births, my calling really is to support mothers delivering in a HOSPITAL setting. I am very fortunate that I was able to have all five of my babies NATURALLY, all in a hospital setting, and I strive to assist mothers desiring a safe hospital birth, with whatever level of intervention they are comfortable with. Some of my clients want epidural pain relief, and simply request my help getting them TO the point of progress they want to reach before having pain medication administered, while others want to give birth completely unmedicated, and rely on me to provide comfort measures and encouragement to get them through labor and birth without the use of drugs. Beyond what is PLANNED in birth, my clients all appreciate my vast knowledge of common and not-so-common procedures, calling me a “walking birth encyclopedia” when they need to make quick decisions based on unexpected plot-twists in their birth story.

My own fourth child’s birth was the final catalyst to me answering this beautiful calling to birth work, as he was born during my husband’s third deployment. I was incredibly blessed to find a Birth Doula at the very last minute, whose support changed EVERYTHING for that birth. Of course when I found out I was expecting baby number five shortly after completing my DONA training, my Doula was the very first person I called, and she happily served me and my husband for that birth, as well.
My all-inclusive birth business also offers private childbirth classes, Birth Photography, and Placenta Encapsulation services. I enjoy mentoring new doulas, and I also run a free weekly mommy support group called “Club M.O.M. (Made Of Miracles)” to help other mommies in the Temecula/Murrieta area learn and grow together.

My family includes my husband and hero, who works in Law Enforcement and is a USMC Reservist, as well as my 28 year old daughter and four sons, ages 23, 18, 7, and 5 years old. We have happily called the Temecula Valley our home for 19 of the last 25 years.
