TVDoulas Membership

Are you interested in joining the Temecula Valley Birth Network?

As an organization, we strive to unite the birth professional community and provide a complete resource to families in the Temecula Valley. We would love to have you join us!

Quarterly Membership Drives: We have quarterly membership drives – these are the only times we are accepting new members!

  • August 1st to August15th
  • November 1st to November 15th
  • February 1st to February 15th
  • May 1st to May 15th

Profile Submissions: Once your membership fee has been paid through paypal, you will be redirected to our Member Profile Submission page. You will also receive an email with a link to this page in case you aren’t quite ready to submit your info yet. You may download this .rtf document for a list of the items you will need to submit for your profile. It is your responsibility to make sure your profile is submitted before the end of the applicable membership drive!


MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS:

Birth Professionals – $50 per year

This category is for all birth professionals in the Temecula Valley area (roughly the area north to Lake Elsinore and south to Fallbrook). Our members have the benefit of voting on event participation and other expenditures, have full bios on the website, and may attend & promote services at live events (as specific event rules permit). Members may also volunteer for committee leadership positions within TVD.  

Categories: Birth Doulas, Postpartum Doulas, Lactation Support, Childbirth Ed, Placenta Encapsulation, Mental & Emotional Health, Acupuncture, Chiropractor, Birth Photography, Body Work, Cloth Diapers, etc. (Additional categories may be added as appropriate.)  **If a member falls into more than one category, he/she can also be listed under all categories for no additional charge.

Requirements for all members:

  • Attend at least one quarterly meeting per year (At least 2 is strongly desired.)

Requirements for birth & postpartum doula members:

  • Have attended a 14-hour labor support course, as well as 3 births/supported 3 families postpartum
  • Have read a minimum of four books related to birth and/or postpartum
  • Agree to abide by DONA’s Code of Ethics (birth, postpartum) and Standards of Practice (birth, postpartum) when working solely under their “doula hat.”
  • Or the equivalent to the above requirements – to be determined on an individual basis

Requirements for doulas-in-training listing (this is an optional category for new doulas:

  • Offering a discounted fee for birth or postpartum doula services during certification period
  • Have attended a labor or postpartum support course (no in-person birth/postpartum support requirement)
  • Have read a minimum of four books related to birth and/or postpartum
  • Agree to abide by DONA’s Code of Ethics (birth, postpartum) and Standards of Practice (birth, postpartum) when working solely under their “doula hat.”
  • Or the equivalent to the above requirements – to be determined on an individual basis
